Different ways to support the Interfaith Food Bank
Thanks to creative, hardworking, and compassionate community organizers, events happen! The Interfaith Food Bank receives thousands of dollars and countless pounds of food each year to help combat hunger in Amador County by way of fundraisers, special events, and food drives.
Events and fundraisers truly come in all shapes and sizes, and from all corners of our generous county. Below are just a few of our ongoing heroic efforts that have resulted in valuable funding to feed Amador County’s hungry residents:
- Empty Bowls Fundraiser (March)
- Plasse’s Resort End-of-Season BBQ and Auction at Silver Lake (August)
- Annual Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot at Lake Tabeaud (November)
- Annual Turkey or 20 Drive, Project Thanks (November)
In addition to these organized events, we benefit from countless food drives throughout the county at various times of the year. The Interfaith Food Bank depends on events such as these to help fill our shelves and enhance our power to purchase food for those in need.
